SafeHome is an accompaniment service offered by and of the Students’ Society of Â鶹ӰԺ University (SSMU) from December 4th to December 21tst (10 pm to 1 am). The service will be available from the McLennan Library to provide a greater sense of security to students while traversing from campus to home. SafeHome is targeted at those who feel vulnerable and/or otherwise unsafe travelling alone during the exam prep and exam period.

SSMU DriveSafe is a service run by the SSMU. The Drivesafe patrols drive students home safely to and from anywhere on the Island of Montreal for free.

Emergency Phones are distributed throughout all Â鶹ӰԺ campus. These phones can be found inside the entrance of most major Â鶹ӰԺ buildings and/or inside every elevator. The yellow box phones have a blue light that is lit at night so you can see it easily. Press the red button to speak with the Â鶹ӰԺ Security Services.

• If you are off-campus and you observe something suspicious contact the Montreal Police. Also, contact them in case of an emergency requiring an ambulance or the fire department.

Offered only to women travelling alone, this service is provided on all bus lines. Starting at 7:30 p.m. from August 30 to April 30. Tell the driver, one stop ahead of time, where you would like to get off the bus. The driver will open the front door once the bus has safely stopped as close to the desired location as possible.
